The rapid global expansion and adoption of LTE and 4G networks within the last decade coincides with the rise of new new services, new users, and new quality standards. Under the pressure of keeping up with these increasingly complicated networks, especially with the anticipated arrival of 5G networks later this year, service providers are racing to improve network security and Quality of Service(QoS). To achieve this goal, service providers need tools that can ensure secure connections while delivering a high QoS.

Quantea’s QP Series Appliance Solution optimizes user experience while fortifying network security for service providers. The QP’s built-in detailed search engine can capture and analyze all GTP traffic based on the 3GPP GTP standards with any packet analysis tool. Interoperable with any packet analysis tool, QP captures traffic at 50 Gb/s and stores it as PCAP files, providing capabilities such as traffic replay, traffic generation, and customized search. The QP system can compress captured data up to 36x, and its powerful search engine can process millions of packets in less than 30 seconds.

With the QP’s ability to capture data based on any GTP packet criteria, a service provider can capture Tunnel Endpoint ID (TEID) and IP addresses of all users as well as other parameters. With the QP’s capabilities, an LTE operator is able to detect any anomalies in the network or in voice quality, revealing performance issues as well as potential attempted attacks thus ensuring stability for their services.
